Where to Find the Best Coffee on Seattle’s Eastside
If you’ve been around Seattle long, you know there is a dizzying array of coffee shops. Whether you are after a frothy latte or a great pour over, I found a new choice for you!
A few weekends ago, I had the pleasure of trying out Mercurys Coffee in Bellevue. I had no idea this chain even existed. It was totally exciting to find out there is life after bitter coffee in Seattle! Oh yeah, Mercurys Coffee has smooth bold taste! I promise once you taste it, you may never go back to your former cup of brew.
Not only did I love the coffee, I was in sandwich haven. I tried a a turkey on a pretzel bun- TO DIE FOR! These are just a few of the many reasons:
Why You Will Love Mercurys
A Gathering Place
The big ceiling to floor windows let in beautiful natural light. This is a kewl spot to take your significant other on a fun date, meet friends or take care of business. Speaking of business- Mercurys coffee has a facility you can book for meetups, how awesome is that?!
Coffee Roaster On Site
The Bellevue location is the newest Mercurys store to open. It is considered the flagship store with the big roaster located across from the coffee counter. It’s such a unique experience to sip your coffee while watching all the behind the scenes production going on.
There are 7 other locations to serve you, all located on the Eastside. If you are in the area, hopefully you can check a few of them out.
Oversized Mugs
The bigger the cup, the better right!? At least you won’t have to pay for a second cup. These mugs were just the cutest. If you are looking for a coffee lovers gift for the holidays- a few of these mugs and a bag of organic roasted beans would be perfect.
Delicious Lunch Menu
Most coffee shops usually have a small selection for lunch items, not the case at Mercurys. If you want to grab some lunch with your coffee, this is the place! I was so stoked to find out they serve salads along with sandwiches etc. As I mentioned earlier, the sandwich did not disappoint! I rarely eat sandwiches because bread can be so heavy and hard to digest. The pretzel bun was light , fluffy and so delicious.
Outstanding Service
We visited the shop during the soft opening, so it was quite crowded. When we got in line to order, the line was halfway to the back of the store. The service was speedy and friendly. They had us through the line and served in less than 5 minutes! With the crazy busy lives we lead these days, getting fast certainly helps.
Next time you are in Bellevue, Kirkland or Woodinville: I hope you’ll stop into Mercurys for your next cuppa Jo!
One of the best parts of traveling is finding a new coffee shop as soon as you arrive. I often travel on day trips around the Puget Sound, and first on my agenda is looking for some good java.
